Keep a separate pair of scissors for cutting tape – it
will save you constantly having to clean your good pair!
Use hairspray to “fix” chalked projects. Just a light
spray will keep your chalk on your card making project
Use alcohol free baby wipes to clean your wooden stamps – never
use soap and water it will destroy the rubber
Keep all your scraps in an envelope of a similar colour. That
way you will constantly be able to find that gorgeous purple shimmery
off-cut that you need
Before embossing wipe a tumble dryer anti-static sheet over your
card, it will prevent stray flecks of embossing powder sticking
where it
isn’t wanted
Try mixing your own embossing powders. Enchanted gold and copper
(equal quantities) looks gorgeous as does denim with a touch a
snowflake tinsel.
Don’t forget mixing holographic with any other colour will
give it a beautiful shimmery finish
If your paper punches or fancy edged scissors start to dull just
punch through some tin foil to sharpen them up
Always use the right adhesive for the job. Dry adhesives like
tape pens and magic sheets for card and paper, wet adhesives for
heavier
embellishments like buttons and a glue pen for intricate work.
If you’re
not sure what is best for your project pop into your local Paper Mill

to help
Save time by buying square punches in a variety of sizes – it’s
a lot quicker to just punch your background squares than measure and
cut them and you’re guaranteed they will all be the same
size
